Mr. Baker is a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City with over 50 years of experience in funeral service.  He is a U. S. Army World War II veteran, having served as a combat medic with the 9th Infantry Division.  He was decorated with a Silver Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart.  He is a graduate and former board member of John A. Gupton College, Nashville.  Mr. Baker is a member and board member of Tacoma Church of God.  He is a life member and Past President of the Optimist Club of Johnson City, a former board member of the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital, and a former board member of the Johnson City Area Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Baker is a member and former Vice Commander of the Kings Mountain Post 24, American Legion and a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, John Goodin Chapter 244.. He is a member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge 486 and all York Rite Bodies. He is also a member of the Nolichuckey-Grandview Chapter 194, Order of the Eastern Star.  Since 1984, Mr. Baker has been an honorary member of the Johnson City Fire Department.  He and his late wife, Dorothea R. Baker, have one daughter, Harriet Baker, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.  In September, 2002, Mr. Baker married the former Betty Dempsey.

Harriet is a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City.  She is a 1960 graduate of Science Hill High School and a 1965 graduate of East Tennessee State University.  She currently serves as an elder and member of the session of First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton.  Harriet is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Johnson City - Washington County Area United Way and Girls Inc.  She has also been active in Habitat for Humanity and the Johnson City Arts Council.  She is an avid gardener and a member of the Watauga Rose Society.  Harriet has four children: Lauren Kenny, Todd, Preston, and Valerie McKee; and four grandchildren.

Preston is a third generation funeral director.  He is a lifelong Johnson City resident and the son of Tom McKee and Harriet Baker.  Preston graduated from Science Hill High School in 1991 and the University of the South in 1995.  He is a member of First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City, and currently serves as Chair of the Johnson City Area United Way Board of Directors.  He is a former member of its Executive Committee, served as the 2002 Allocations Committee Chair, and served as Chair of Johnson City's  2005 United Way Campaign.  Preston also serves on the Johnson City Salvation Army Advisory Board and is a member of the Johnson City Evening Rotary Club.

Tim is a native of Lynch, Kentucky.  He has been with Morris-Baker since relocating to Johnson City in 1984.  He is a graduate of the Mid-America College of Funeral Service, Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Tim and his family are members of River of Life Church, Piney Flats.  He has been active in youth sports, coaching tee-ball, Little League baseball, and soccer.  Tim is married to the former Vicky Howard, and are the parents of two children, Tara and Sean, and a granddaughter.

Jerry is a native of Johnson City and was educated in the Washington County Schools.  He is a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a combat medic in Vietnam.  He began his funeral service career with apprenticeship in Johnson City in 1970, and graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, Louisville  in 1973.  Jerry served as a funeral home manager in Elizabethton for 23 years before returning to Johnson City in March, 2003 to join the staff of Morris-Baker.  Jerry is married to the former Sharon Shepherd, and they are the parents of a son, Jason.  They are active members of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Calvin is a Paintsville, Kentucky native who has lived in Johnson City since joining  Morris-Baker in 1999.  He is a graduate of Paintsville High School and the Mid-America College of Funeral Service, Jeffersonville, Indiana.  Calvin is a member of Heritage Baptist Church, where he assists with youth activities and plays both basketball and softball.  Calvin has been involved with the Jaycees, Masons, Lions Club, and is a former Sunday School Director.  He is an avid magician who specializes in working with children. Calvin is married to the former Margie Alexander, and they are the parents of two daughters, Samantha and Andrea.

Keith is a Mitchell County, North Carolina native who has lived in Johnson City since 1986.  He is married to the former Nicki Miller and has two children, Patrick and Christy, and a granddaughter.  Keith is a graduate of Milligan College and a member of Beta Theta Pi history society.  He is a member of the Johnson City Kiwanis Club and the Johnson City Masonic Lodge 486, York Rite Bodies, Watauga Commandry, and the Johnson City Moose Lodge.  Keith attends East Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

Greg is a native of Erwin, TN, and was educated in the Unicoi County School System. He attended East Tennessee State University and began his funeral career in 1997. Greg joined the Morris-Baker staff in 2003 and has since earned his Funeral Director’s license. He is a member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge 486. Greg is married to the former Martha Ledford. They are the proud parents of one daughter, Olivia, and a son, Gregory Alan. They attend Walnut Christian Church.

Angela, a West Virginia native, has lived in the Tri-Cities area since 1988.  She attended the University of South Carolina and served in the U.S. Army  Reserves. She has over ten years experience in funeral pre-planning and funding and has been a member of the Morris-Baker staff since 2000. She is a group facilitator with GriefShare, a grief and loss seminar and support group. She has a daughter, Mary, and is an active member of Central Baptist Church.
