Camp Firefly on Saturday, September 23, for Grieving Children

When young hearts break, they may need extra care to become whole again. Mark your calendars and join us at Warriors Path State Park for our annual Camp Firefly – a place for children, teens and families to grieve and heal together. The camp provides a safe, fun and caring atmosphere for campers and their families to explore their feelings by:
— Improving self-esteem
— Strengthening coping skills
— Reducing feelings of isolation
— Developing an age-appropriate understanding of death
— Forming relationships with peers who have experienced similar losses.

Trained volunteers serve as camp buddies and accompany campers through activities led by professional social workers, counselors and nurses. Lunch and snacks will be provided throughout the day. To register or volunteer, visit https://www.balladhealth.org/classes-programs/camp-firefly or call 423.844.5257.
