Grieving Alone and Together

"Losing a loved one in the midst of this pandemic is a traumatic experience," writes Sarah Murphy, an expert on death, dying and bereavement. Morris-Baker is offering, for free to the community, hard copies of the booklet that Murphy has written, Grieving Alone and Together, that gives consolation, truth, and guidance that our struggling communities need during this COVID era.

The Grieving Alone and Together booklet is downloadable as well.

The Funeral Service Foundation and the National Funeral Directors Association teamed up to offer the Grieving Alone and Together booklet. Written by Murphy, this booklet comprehensively discusses the many ways grief is showing up in the COVID era.  "Losing a loved one in the midst of this pandemic is a traumatic experience," writes Murphy. She discusses the complicated traumas of these griefs, how to help children through these losses, the pain of separation from a loved one during their decline, planning a funeral ceremony, and self-care.

No matter what loss you are experiencing (even a non-death loss), there is clarity and guidance offered in this piece.
