Camp Courage

For children who lose loved ones, like a parent or sibling, the grieving process can be very complex and different from the way adults cope.

Camp Courage is a free, one-day camp that helps kids who have suffered this kind of loss.

If you know a child who has recently experienced the loss of a loved one, please consider letting them know about Camp Courage. The camp is open to children from kindergarten through eighth grade.

Through listening, sharing and participating, campers will learn how to handle grief. They will also learn coping skills that can lead to healing. Kibbi, our therapy dog, will once again participate to help children express and sort through their emotions.

Camp Courage will take place on June 27, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend, but preregistration is required and must be received by June 2.

The camp is run by Mountain States Health Alliance Hospice in partnership with Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services. If you have any questions, or would like to register a child, complete and submit the form below and a member of the Camp Courage team will be in contact with you.
