Kibbi, Our Therapy Dog, Is Always On Call

Sometimes a therapy dog can be more effective than words. Kibbi is the therapy dog at Morris-Baker. Since 2011, she has been using her therapy dog certification to bring comfort to any family requesting her presence at Morris-Baker, as well as to any facility in the community that wants her to come visit.

Therapy dogs provide affection and comfort to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. These specially trained and certified canines are gentle, patient, and friendly; they like to be petted, and they love human contact. Interacting with a dog can lower people’s stress level, and children especially often like to hug and touch a soft animal.
