Mae, Wayne, and Angela The road was hard I know…but I was honored to travel it with you and Darrell. I know he would have done the same for me. It is my wish that during this difficult and trying time that you remember the laughter that Darrell brought to alot of people. He loved playing practical jokes on me and that I will surely miss. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I will continue to walk this road with you for as long as you like, for I know that God is walking it with us as well. We love you.

We remember when Darrell worked at the old Lowes Hardware in Banner Elk we became good friends during that time. It was always a pleasure talking to him because he always had a smile on his face. After he left Lowes we lost contact with him but thought of him often. It is with a very sad heart that we offer you our sincere condolences. May God put his loving arms around all the family and may all your great memories of Darrell offer you comfort during the difficult time ahead.
