Debra Kay Hart

June 20, 1957 ~ February 18, 2018

?After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." Thessalonians 4:17 Debra Kay Hart, 60, of Johnson City, passed peacefully into the Kingdom of Heaven on February 18, 2018, following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 20, 1957 in Hamlin, Texas to the late Houston and Norma Reed Boen. In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Donna Sue Thomas, of Springfield, Illinois. She leaves behind: her loving husband, Harold ?Ross" Hart, of the home; one son, Houston Dylan Smith, of Johnson City; two daughters, Amy Smith Horton, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mindy Markham and her husband Todd, of Anna, Texas; two brothers, Steve Boen and his wife, Lonna, of Kansas City, Missouri and Phillip Boen, of Ore City, Texas; as well as four grandchildren, Madison Markham, D.J. Edwards, Keylan Edwards, and Jaxon Smith, all of Anna, Texas. Debra touched the heart of everyone she met and will also be missed dearly by many special friends, and her beloved dog , Lizzie, who was her constant companion and great source of comfort throughout her illness.

    To Debra’s family, Debra was in our lives at the most difficult time, she was a life saver for us. She brought love and understanding to us during the sickness of my Aunt. My Aunt Dorothy loved her so much and depended on her. Debra gave my Aunt love, dignity, peace and comfort in her every visit. Thank you for sharing your treasure with others. She had a calling to take care of others and she did it with easy. I have no doubt God has a special place in heaven for this wonderful God loving women. I am blessed to have known her.

We look forward to the fulfillment of every detail of God?s promise in Revelation 21:4, which says: ?And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.?
