Dora Lois Proctor

February 27, 1930 ~ October 24, 2007

Dora Lois Williams Proctor, 77, of Altamonte Springs, Fla., formerly of Greenway Drive of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Life Care of Altamonte Springs Nursing Home in Altamonte Springs, Florida. She was a Warrenton, NC native and lived in Johnson City from 1963 until 2000. Mrs. Proctor was the daughter of the late Richard and Lucy Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey and by three grand children, Clarence Nave, Paige Proctor and Corey Proctor. Mrs. Proctor was a Customer Service Representative working for J. C. Penny's in Johnson City. She was a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church.Survivors include; two daughters, Francine Proctor, San Jose, CA and Teri Eveland of Chicago, IL; two sons, Archie Proctor, Hampton, TN and W. Nelson Proctor of Taylor's, SC; two sisters, Lucy Williams and Barbara Holtzman; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted in the Morris-Baker South Chapel at 7:00 pm Sunday. Rev. Mike Pelham will officiate. Burial will be conducted in the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 10:00 am on Monday. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 9:45 am Monday and proceed to the cemetery.     Just wanted to let all of you know you are in our thoughts and prayers. It’s been so long since we have seen each other but the love and family connection will always be there. We know that Aunt Lois and the rest of our family that have passed are together now !!! How happy they must be! I can hear Aunt Lois’ wonderful laughter and remember happy times at Mammy’s. Boy we sure we given good memories as children and I will never forget them…How lucky we were to have such a loving and caring family!
