Memories Timeline

  1. Mike Alabed says:

I just saw in today’s paper (Saturday) where Mr. Day passed away, Mr. Day was my teacher at Lamar school, as God is my witness I was looking through the 1966 yearbook for Lamar yesterday where I smiled when I saw Mr. Day pouring pop out of a bottle for some of the faculty staff, what a kind soft spoken man, I will miss you…

  2. Jeanette Knight says:

I taught with Garnett at Lamar for many years and he was a kind, loving gentleman.
Also had your son in third grade.

  3. Cindy Ayers says:

Cindy and family – I just found out about the passing of your father. He was a wonderful man and I know he will be greatly missed. Love and prayers to the family.

  4. Dr Denise Sibley says:

Dear June, I’m sorry to learn of Garnett’s passing today 7/31/2019 as I read the News and Neighbor. I am so sorry to have not known about this tragedy sooner as I would certainly have wanted to attend the funeral. I do not subscribe to the newspaper any longer, so I did not see his obituary. Please forgive me for not being there for you. I have loved you and Garnett very much for many years and I know your heart is broken without him. All of us at Wellspring love you- you have been a dear friend. Please let me know if you need anything. I will be praying for you. I have not been out of the house much for the last 3 1/2 months as I had a significant back surgery at Duke, so I have not seen you at Krogers. I have missed you. Love you, Denise Sibley. My phone is 534-0890 if you need me.
