Jerry Lynn Jenkins

December 29, 1947 ~ September 28, 2012

Mr. Jerry Lynn Jenkins, age 64 of Johnson City, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Jenkins, a native of Johnson City, was the son of the late Ernest Hardin Jenkins and Margaret Widener Jenkins. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Hardin Jenkins and Fred Jenkins; one sister, Betty Thompson, preceded him in death. Mr. Jenkins was a machine repairman for Stewert-Warner-Alimite and a former member of the Tennessee National Guard. Survivors include one son, Jerry Jenkins and his wife Amanda of Johnson City; one daughter, Lori Kilby and her husband Richard of Johnson City; three sisters, Carol Maupin and her husband Chummy of Johnson City, Nancy Bellany and her husband Joey of Mississippi and Debra Childress of Johnson City; three brothers, Ronald Jenkins and his wife Sue of Johnson City, Mike Jenkins and his wife Maria of Telford and Kenneth Jenkins and his wife Carolyn of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Caitlin Kilby of Johnson City, Avery Gilliam of Johnson City, Morgan Jenkins of Johnson City and Jacob Jenkins of Johnson City; one special brother-in-law, James Thompson. The funeral service for Mr. Jerry Lynn Jenkins will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, October 2, 2012, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Lon Tobin will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Judes, P.O. Box 318, Memphis, Tn. 38101.
