In loving memory of John Spodat, age 43, of 218 E. Fourth Avenue, Watauga had, after an extended illness, gone to be with our Lord this Easter season on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center. John was a native of Mineola, New York and was the son of Werner M. Spodat and Catherine Hilliard Spodat. John was a beloved member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is especially remembered by his loving wife of twenty years, Jennifer Spodat, his three daughters, Carlie Ann Spodat, Mackenzie Allison Spodat and Sydney Catherine Spodat, his parents and his sisters Patricia Griffith and Stephanie Mann and their families. The funeral service for John Spodat will be celebrated at 7:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2011 in the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Anietie Akata will officiate.

    Dear Jennifer and the Girls, It was a pleasure to take care of John for the past few years. He always had a smile for me and would call me over to his chair just to read his sarcastic t-shirts. I will miss him very much. Take care of yourselves and remember that he will always be a part of you.
