Paulette Young, 63, of Johnson City died Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Cornerstone Healthcare Center. She was a native of Indiana, but raised in Gray, daughter of the late Rondy Carson and Rozella Chandler Young.

Paulette was a retired waitress server who believed in great customer service.

She was a member of Calvary Church.

Paulette adored her grandchildren and new great granddaughter and being a grandmother. She loved her pets and all animals. People who spent time with her remarked about her great smile, her hugs and how she brightened their days with conversation and laughter.

In addition to her parents, her two sisters, Janice Sparks, Darlene Young and brother, Mike Young all preceded her in death.

Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and David Guinn of Johnson City; sister, Diane and her husband Ronald Ownsby of Maryville; three grandchildren, Megan Guinn (fiancé, Hogan Ollis) of Johnson City, Lindsey Guinn of Chattanooga and Elijah Guinn of Johnson City; a great granddaughter Hadlee Ollis and nephew Terry (his wife, Teresa) Feathers of Elizabethton.

Paulette is to be cremated and scattering will be done at a later date in a special place.
