Albert Hyatt, 67, 812 Hamilton Street, Johnson City died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Hyatt was a native of Washington County, he lived a short time in Florida, and returned to Johnson City in 1973. He was a son of the late Ralph and Georgia Marie Hyatt. Mr. Hyatt was a retired sheet metal mechanic for 45 years, and served in the U.S. Army. He attended Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Hyatt was preceded in death by; his parents ; one sister, Irene Barry. Survivors include: his wife, M. Wilma Hyatt of the home; eight sons, Steve Hyatt, Mike Hyatt and Randy Hyatt, all of Johnson City, Fred Hyatt of Orlando, FL, Doug Hyatt of Wheeling, WV, Chad Hylton of Johnson City, Shane Hylton of Jonesborough, and Jeff Shaver of Winter Garden, FL.; five daughters, Lynn McKitrick of Clermont,FL, Melissa Carr of Johnson City, Veronica Pierson of Telford, Laura Hylton of Johnson City, and Erma Cooley of Winter Garden, FL.; one sister, Rosa Lee Byrd of Johnson City; twenty six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Two very special friends Sparky and Buster. The funeral service for Albert Hyatt will be conducted at 8 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2005 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Jeff Shaver will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday in the New Bethel Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by VFW Post #3382 of Kingsport, Tn. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM Thursday to go in procession. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday in the funeral chapel.
