Alice S. Webb

Alice S. Webb, 95, 110 Boone Drive, Gray, died Friday, May 20, 2005 at Asbury Place. Mrs. Webb was a native of Wilmington, NC and had lived in Johnson City since 1935. She was a daughter of the late Theo Stancel and Minnie Agnes Sellers Simmons and was also preceded in death by her husband, Darrell E. Webb in 1985, one brother, Jim Simmons and one sister, Hazel Temple. Mrs. Webb was a retired employee of Burlington Industries. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Webb was a member of The Nolichucky Grandview Chapter # 194 Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include three brothers, Theo C. Simmons and his wife, Mary Frances, Fairborn, Ohio, Henry Simmons and his wife, Jean, Johnson City and Max Simmons and his wife, Barbara, Jupiter, FL and three sisters, Margaret Gosnell, Johnson City, Lura Dunbar, Johnson City and Pearl Daniels and her husband, Bill , Johnson City and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Webb will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, May 23, 2005 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend. R. Willard Warfield will officiate. Burial will follow in Monte Vista Memorial Park The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral services. Pallbearers will be Dick Smoot, W. C. Daniels, Rodney Hendricks, Randy Hendricks, Roy Hendricks, Paul Trivett and Kyle Trivett
