March 14, 1923 — June 23, 2006

Andrew C. Varricchio, 83, of 2324 W. Brook Lane, Johnson City, died Friday, June 23, 2006 at his home. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church . He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, his parents Joseph and Margaret Varricchio, his sisters, Lena and Loretta and brother, Louis. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served in World War II. Survivors include his daughters, Sharon and Mary Ann; grandchildren, Shannon, Tina and J.C.; greatgrandchildren, Cory,Matthew, Ashley, Skyler,Caitlin and Rylee; his sisters, Rose and Antoinette; and brothers, Tommy and Joseph. The family would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the following people for the wonderful care that they have given Andy over the last few years: Dr. Ray Lamb, Dr. Thomas McGinnis, Dr. James Wilson, Dr. Michael Grosserode, Dr. Charles Cole, Dr. Steven Smith; the wonderful RN?s, L.P.N.?s, C.N.A.?s, P.C.P.?s and aides at JCMC on 5200 and 5400; Med Center Hospice nurses Faye Megan,Kathy,Jackie and Shane. Andy loved each and every one of you because you treated him with loving care and tenderness, for that you will always have a place in our hearts. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday from St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Ftr. Gerard Finucane will be the celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 until 8:30 PM Saturday. A Rosary service will be conducted at 8:15 PM Saturday at visitation. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101.
