Angelyn Osborne Lipford

Angelyn Osborne Lipford, 56, of 709 Franklin Street, Johnson City, died Thursday, January 4, 2007 at her residence. She was a native of Carter County but had lived most of her life in Washington County. Angelyn was a daughter of the late Edward Calvin Osborne and Mabel Rhea Clark Osborne. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen Rankin and a sister and brother. She was of the Missionary Baptist faith. Survivors include: her husband, Jack Lipford of the home, five children, Lori Slagle of Johnson City, Stephen Rankin of Johnson City, Richard Rankin of Elizabethton, Angela Marich and Jimmy Rankin of Johnson City; two step-children, Wendy Glaspie of Johnson City and Earnest Lipford of Nashville; 13 grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren; a great grandchild; a sister, Joann Osborne of Johnson City; two brothers, Charles and Robert Osborne both of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of the Morris - Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Chaplain Victor Tucker. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. All attending the committal service are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession at 9:15 a.m.
