Anna Belle Garland

Anna Belle Garland, 87, of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and the daughter of the late Zack and Buna Griffith McCourry . She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Walter Garland, two brothers, Fred and Lawrence McCourry and three sisters Trula West, Mary Lee Milller and Naurice Burke. Mrs. Garland worked as a nurse for most of her career and was a member of King Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister, Ola McKinney of VA, one brother-in- law, Ernest Garland of Johnson City, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a special friend and caregiver, Tracey King of Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Morris-Baker North Chapel from 1:00 until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 with funeral services immediately following. Rev Jerry Cornett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memory Gardens.
