Anthony Eugene Tipton

Anthony Eugene Tipton, 58, 120 Jarrett Buck Loop, died Monday September 5, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Tipton was a native of Washington County and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Eugene Tipton and Maedell Bradley Tipton and was also preceded in death by his son, Paul Tipton. Mr. Tipton was an employee of Baxter Pharmaseal. He was a Christian. Survivors include his wife, Judy A. Tipton; one daughter, Tonya Cox, Jonesborough; three sisters, Inez Seay, Phyllis Lindsay and Linda Mathis all of Johnson City and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Mr. Tipton will be held at 10 AM Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery. Reverend Bill Greer of Keystone Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends from 8:30-9:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Active pallbearers Chris McAmis, Richard Mathis, Cory Mathis, Bob Townsend, Tommy Bradley, Charles Bradley, Eddie Bales, Charlie Bales and Ray Bales. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Jessee, Paul Elliott, Dr. William Kincaid, Dr. Frank Johnson, Dr. Randy Hoover, Dr. Kevin Sweet, Dr. Stephen Fry, Kenneth Ray, John Chapman and Steve Wheat.
