Antoinette Genevieve Pnazek

Antoinette Genevieve Pnazek passed away on Monday, March 21, 2005 in Apex, NC at the age of 86, a few months after having been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Antoinette was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 10, 1919 to Elizabeth and Stanley Pniaczek. She worked for many years for the National Tea Company as a cashier, head cashier and as an assistant manager. She retired to Johnson City to care for her elderly mother and to spend time with her two sisters, Evelyn and Marie Pnazek. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing flowers, fruits and vegetables and taking care of her yard. After her two sisters passed away, she moved to North Carolina to live near her niece, Lisa Ross and her grandnieces who she regarded as her own 'grandchildren' Trillian, Jennifer and Marissa, and who always thought of her as 'Grandma Toni'. She spent two happy years here with them before she became ill. In addition to her parents, her sisters Evelyn and Marie, and her brother Thaddeus Pnazek preceded Antoinette in death. She leaves behind to cherish fond memories of her, her niece Lisa and her daughetrs Trillian, Marissa and Jennifer and Lisa?s husband Jeff, her niece Karen Pnazek and her husband Jerry, her nephew Karl Pnazek and his wife Bonnie, her nephew Kurt Pnazek, his wife Susan and their children Casey and Cole, and her nephew Keith Pnazek, his wife Karen and their children Brad and Brett, in addition to cousins Angela Wojas and her husband Ted and their children and cousins Adam and Mary Natonek and their children, as well as other extended family and many good friends in Johnson City, Chicago, and elsewhere. A visitation will be held at 1 pm on Friday March 25, 2005 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City, Tennessee, followed by a graveside remembrance at 2 p.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park.
