Audrey Mary Hamilton

Audrey M. Hamilton, 83, of 1641 Highway 19E Elizabethton died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Hamilton was a native of North Carolina and had lived most of her life in Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Julius and Ada Ward Turbyfill. Mrs. Hamilton was a retired clerk in the Washington County Court Clerks Office. She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband of fifty-eight years, Howard Hamilton in July 2007; and one sister Hilma Tappen. Survivors include: two sons, Greg Hamilton and his wife Katie of Lenoir City, TN and Randy Hamilton and his wife Lori of Piney Flats, TN; one granddaughter, whom she was very proud of, Sarah Ashley Hamilton of Lenoir City; three brothers, Rhonda Turbyfill of Elk Park, NC, Ray Turbyfill of Winston-Salem, NC and Johnny Turbyfill of Huntersville, NC; four sisters, Helen Johnson of Jonesborough, Wilma Ellis and Geraldine Ward, both of Elk Park, NC and Wanda Phillips of Banner Elk, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive. A Chapel Committal Service for Audrey M. Hamilton will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday, September 27, 2009 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. William Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 PM in the chapel prior to the committal service. Burial will be in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
