Avalynn Jade Schaffner, age 2, of Roan Mountain, died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at the Nyswonger Children’s Hospital in Johnson City. Ava was a light in this world that brought joy and happiness to all that knew her. She is survived by her mother, MacKenzie Grace Schaffner of Roan Mountain. There will be a private Celebration of Life Service.
