Barbara Lee Bobby Spinnato

Barbara Lee (Bobbie) Hughes Spinnato age 70, 2700 Indian Ridge Road #10, Johnson City, TN entered into her heavenly father?s home on April 22, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. She will be forever missed. A daughter of the late George and Birdie Hughes, Barbara was born in Johnson City and grew up in Mitchell County, NC. After graduation from High School, Barbara moved to Baltimore, MD, where she met her husband, Michael Spinnato and spent 46 years there before returning to Tennessee six years ago. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Abindon, MD. Barbara was loved by everyone she met and loved life. She especially loved spending time with her six grandchildren and working in her flowers. Surviving is her loving husband of 50 years, Michael Spinnatio, her two loving children, Donna Gillespie-Smith and David Spinnato and wife Terry all of Johnson City; four special brothers and one sister, Virgil and Juanita Hughes, Lewis and Janet Hughes, Edmond and Doris Hughes, Haynes and Anne Hughes all of Johnson City and Linda Hughes of Johnson City; her six grandchildren, who were the light of her world, Heather, Jamie, Nicole and David Spinnato Jr and Joshua Gillespie and Austin Smith all of Johnson City and several nieces, nephews, great niece and nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, sister, nephew and great niece. A funeral service for Mrs. Spinnato will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, April 24, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Pastor Rufus Smith will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Guy Hughes, N.R. Canipe, Sarrell Harrell, Ratha Buchanan, Carter Everhart and Matthew Hughes.The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
