Beatrice Hays

Beatrice Hamilton Hays, 88, formerly of 501 South Center Street, died Sunday, December 04, 2005 at Lakebridge Health Care Center. Mrs. Hays was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late George Houston and Mary Jane Harrison Hamilton and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Hays and two half brothers and sisters. Mrs. Hays was a former member of Grace Brethren Church. She is survived by one daughter, Sue Reed Fox, Johnson City; grandchildren, Billy Joe Bailey, Johnson City, Robert Daniel Bailey, Jonesborough, David Lee Bailey, Johnson City, Timothy Kyle Bailey, Jonesborough, Cynthia Dison, Jonesborough and John William Deason, Johnson City; eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and Carolyn Blalock Townsend, NC, that considered Mrs. Hays her second mother. A graveside service for Mrs. Hays will be conducted at 2:30 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Roselawn Memorial Park. Reverend Rick Clowers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Lakebridge Health Care Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mountain States Health Alliance, Children?s Hospital, Building Fund.
