Belle Whitson Greene

Belle Whitson Greene, 85, of 122 O?Dell Circle, Johnson City, went to be with her precious Lord on August 24, 2005. She died at her residence after an extended illness. She was of the Holiness faith. Mrs. Greene was born June 10, 1920, in Bakersville, N.C. to the late James and Texie Garland Whitson,. Mrs. Greene was also preceded in death by her husband, Ford Greene, her daughter, Bernice Udry, her son, Burnie Greene, Sr., and a very special grandson, Burnie Greene, Jr., two sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Greene is survived by her daughter, Jessie and her husband, Ronnie King of the home; One daughter in law, Nancy Greene, Johnson City; two grandsons, Matthew Greene of Johnson City and Ronnie Lowe of Elizabethton;three granddaughters, Sandra and her husband Don Newell, Jr., Johnson City, Julie and her husband, Sgt. Bob Johnson, New Bern, NC; Sandra Lowe Houser and her husband, Vince, Charlotte, NC; one great granddaughter, Taylor Brooke Johnson, New Bern, NC; two great grandsons, Chris and Dewayne Lowe, Ohio; a special niece, Dorothy Lee Whitson and her husband, Lloyd, Charlotte, NC, several nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, August 26, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. At the family request, there will be no visiting at the home. Mrs. Greene?s nephew, Rev. Lawson Whitson will speak at the graveside service. Pallbearers will be: Matthew Greene, Jimmy Lowe, Don Newell, Ronnie Lowe, Ronnie King and Lloyd Whitson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Johnson City Medical Center Hospice, 101 Med Tech Parkway, Suite 100, Johnson City,TN 37604. The family requests No Flowers. The family wants to thank all the Hospice nurses, especially April Bean and Sara Reece, the bather, for being so good to Mrs. Greene and the family.
