Ben Allen Hyatt

Ben A. Hyatt, 75, of 267 Berry Ridge Road, Jonesborough, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Piney Flats, son of the late Bruce and Lena Rivers Hyatt. Ben was a self employed, vinyl siding installer for 25 years and had belonged to the Union Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Allen Hyatt, three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Lyons Hyatt of the home; three sons, Larry Hyatt of Jonesborough, Jack Hyatt of Raleigh, NC and James Hyatt of Johnson City; two daughters, Brenda Hyatt of Johnson City and Robin Gobble of Elizabethton; four sisters; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2007 under the direction of Rev. Michael Lyons and Rev. Dan Foster in the North Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 12:00 p.m. in the Hawthorne Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home to leave in procession at 11:30 a.m.
