Betty Frances Barnett

January 15, 1937 — April 18, 2007

Betty F. Barnett, 70, of Gray, departed to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Nashville, daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred Jackson Duncan. Betty was former employee in the Deli at K-Mart and had worked at the Roadrunner on Princeton Road. She was of Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Alvin 'Bud' Barnett in 1996 and a brother, Carl Jerry Duncan. Survivors include: a son, Teddy Forbes of Concord, NC; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Monreal and Dwayne Campbell of Johnson City; two brothers, Thomas Duncan and his wife, Carol of Kentucky and Gary Duncan of Detroit, MI; five sisters and four sons-in-law, Mary and Jim Belback of Detroit, MI, Jacqueline and Johnny Richardson of Nashville, Patricia and Bob Marksym of Michigan, Glenna and Martin Lentina of Michigan and Shirley Duncan of Michigan; a granddaughter, Angilica Monreal of San Antonio, TX and a great granddaughter, Christina Monreal also of San Antonio, TX; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2007 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Rev. D. C. Byrd. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Morris - Baker Funeral Home. Those attending will go in procession to the cemetery at 1:30 p.m. from the funeral home. Pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends.
