Betty Jean Swiger

Betty Jean Swiger, 85, Gray, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Signature Healthcare of Elizabethton. Betty was born in Adel, GA to the late Hulon and Annie Laurie Quinn. Betty was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. She was a hairdresser at Hair Directors for many years. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Swiger; and her sister, Adelaide Allen. Survivors include: three children, Barbara Burnette, Sam Swiger and his wife Ginger and Von Swiger and his wife Debbie; five grandchildren, Christy, Joshua, Erica, Jessica and Matthew; and nine great grandchildren. Special thank you to the staff at Signature Healthcare for their care and compassion. The family of Betty Swiger will receive friends from 4 PM until 5 PM Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 5 PM with Minister Clint Andrews and Mr. Pat Shannon officiating. A committal service will be held at 10 AM Monday at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery by 9:50 AM.
