Betty Sue Clark

Betty Sue Clark, 62, of Medford, MA, passed away from Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center from a heart attack. She was the oldest daughter of James and June Clark, born on August 21, 1952 in Abingdon, VA. Betty became a Christian at age 11 at Mendota Baptist Church in Mendota, VA. She and her husband, Monty, worked at the General Accounting Office in Dallas and Boston for 30 years. Betty served in the Peace Corps in Togo and South Africa. She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Monty Peters. In addition to her parents, James and June Clark of Johnson City, Betty is survived by: her two sons, James and Tim Peters, of Medford, MA; two sisters, Jean Trout and Sylvia Taylor; and four nieces, Charlotte, Sara, Rachel, and Jenny. Betty was an avid hobbyist. She sewed beautiful quilts and gave them as gifts. She loved the Johnson City Tree Streets Yard Sales and looked forward to them each year. Betty loved life and loved to entertain. A bubbly, smiling lady has been taken away. We will miss her greatly.
