Beverly Gauthreaux Moore

Beverly Gauthreaux Moore, 77, 806 Hillmoor Drive, Johnson City, TN, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Moore was a native of Destrehan, LA and had lived in East Tennessee for the past 57 years. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Edward Gauthreaux and Ludivine Millet Gauthreaux and was also preceded in death by her husband Frank H. Moore, one brother, Percy Gauthreaux, two sisters, Ludivine Caillouet and Doris Womer and an infant daughter, Deborah. Mrs. Moore had been an employee of many retail stores in the area. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Johnson City, Tn. Survivors include her children, Charles Edward Moore and his wife, Bunny Hodas, Charlotte, NC, Phoebe (Dona) Sand and her friend, Vickie Phillips, Johnson City, Donald M. Moore and his wife Susan, Kingsport; two brothers, Alvin Gauthreaux, Covington, LA and Donald Gauthreaux, St. Rose, LA; one sister, Madeline Dufour, St. Rose, LA; two grandchildren, Ashley Moore and Isaac Moore; one step grandchild, Lauren Hodas; and very special friends, Phyllis Farst and Martha Brooks and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Moore will be conducted at 11:30 AM Friday, August 26, 2005 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Johnson City, TN. Pastor James Nipper will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 1 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Lowe, David Womer, Isaac Moore, Jerry Hagaman, David Jennings, Benny Peterson and Ray Dillon. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 AM Friday at the church and from 4-7 PM Wednesday at the residence, 806 Hillmoor Drive, Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013 or the Johnson City Public Library, 100 West Millard Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.
