Billie Barnett

Billie B. Barnett, 87, of 176 Huntland Road, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at her residence. She was a native of Wise, VA but has lived in Washington County for many years. She was a daughter of the late James Willard and Nancy Elizabeth Brickey Begley. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harry H. David. Also preceding her were two brothers, Kenneth and T. T. Begley and one sister, Bobbie Begley. Mrs. Barnett was a member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include; her husband, James H. Barnett; three daughters, Barbara Ann Lawrence and her husband Eddie of Orlando, FL, Linda Faye Nave and her husband Jim of Jonesborough and Cheryl and her husband Daniel of Debary, FL; three brothers, Clarence R. Begley, Big Stone Gap, VA, Frank Begley of Kingsport and Don Begley of Jonesboro,GA; three sisters, Clara Gilley of Connersville, IN and Jessie Watkins of Johnson City and Shirley Evans of Pennington Gap, VA; six Grandchildren, eleven great Grandchildren and two great-great Grandchildren; a special step daughter, Ann Marie Hill and a special stepson, Rick Barnett. A very special thanks by the family goes to the Johnson City Medical Center Hospice and a special care giver, Thelma Hill and to all of her physicians. Funeral services will be conducted from the Morris-Baker South Chapel at 8:00 PM Monday. Rev. Kenneth Kyker and Rev. Kenneth Gaskins will officiate. Burial services will be conducted in the Washington County Memory Gardens at 11:00 AM Tuesday. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Tuesday and proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and great Grandsons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday.
