Mr. Billy L. King Sr., 80, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Johnson City, son of the late Roy and Gladys Williams King. Mr. King was the founder of Golden Rule Plumbing in 1971. He Lived and Worked by ?The Golden Rule'. His work is now done and he has gone home. He was a fan of dirt track racing and golf. In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by: two brothers, Bufford and Buddy King. Survivors include his wife Ollie King; six children, Kathy and her husband Ronnie Miller of Jonesborough, Teresa and her husband Melvin Brummitt, of Elizabethton, Billy King Jr. and his wife Carolyn, of Johnson City, Rebecca King, of Kingsport, Sue and her husband Gary McMullins, of Rogersville, and Joshua King, of Johnson City; grandchildren, Shannon and Brandon Haney, James Brummitt, Jason and David King, Amber Rhem, Jessica Reed, Gary and Jaedi McMullins, Joshua Jr., Brianna, and Isabella King; great grandchildren, Ryan, Seth, and Caleb Haney, Rheagan Haney, Isaac, Isaiah, and Evanna Brummitt, Kaila King, Kyrsten and Mikaela Reed, Lennox Rhem: two brothers, Doug and Dean King; two sisters, Joann Ginley and Shelby Orton; several nieces and nephews. The family of Mr. Billy L. King will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday, March 28, 2016, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Doug Hinshaw officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Wellmont Cancer Institute, 378 Marketplace Dr. #10, Johnson City, 37604, and Washington County Humane Society, 2101 W. Walnut St., Johnson City 37604.
