Brenda Louise Long

Brenda Louise Long, 72, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, at her residence. Brenda was born in Inman, VA to the late Milford and Mary Sexton. Brenda was a member of Jonesborough Church of God since 1996. She loved her children, grandchildren, friends and church family. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by: two sisters, Shirley Ruth Santia and Marilyn Goff; one brother, Bobby Gene Sexton; one son, Johnny Wayne Long, Jr.; and one four-legged friend, Jingles. Survivors include: three daughters, Sarah Woods and her husband Rick, Donna McMillion and her husband David and Charlotte Richard and her husband David; one son, Woody Stringfellow and his wife Cyndee; three sisters, Dorothy Sue Stringfellow, Barbara Joyce Tittle and her husband S.J. and Patricia Kay Pittman; six grandchildren, David Paul Holder, Audrea Rowe, Austin Mack Hunley, Jaden Elizabeth Hunley Kaylea Woods and Ian Haigler; three great grandchildren; best friend, Johnny Wayne Long, Sr.; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Brenda Long will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Michael Lusk officiating. Pallbearers include: David McMillion, David Richard, Austin Hunley, DJ Richard, Dustin Rowe and S.J. Tittle. Committal will be Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Colbaugh Family Cemetery, Elizabethton, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jonesborough Church of God, 164 Sugar Hollow Rd., Jonesborough, TN 37659.
