Buck Garland

Mr. ' Buck' Garland, 69, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Johnson City, he was the son of Agnes Keller Jones and the late Luther Garland. Buck enjoyed fishing and shooting. He was a coin collector, wood craftsman, and a member of the Moose Lodge. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by one brother Delbert Garland. In addition to his mother he is survived by his son, 'Little Buck'? Garland, of Greene County; sister Wanda Tipton and husband Glen of Johnson City; two brothers David Garland of Johnson City and Kenneth Garland and wife Ruth of Jonesborough; three grandsons, Buck Jr., James, and Nicolas Garland, all of Greene County; several nieces and nephews and special friends. Pallbearers: Mark Tipton, Glen Tipton Jr., Angela Hawkins, Sonja Bailey, James Garland, and Buck Garland Jr.. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, January 4, 2011, from 12:00-1:30pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, January 4, 2011, 1:30pm, at Morris Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Abel officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
