Carl G. Hamby

Carl G. Hamby, 85, of Homosassa, FL. died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Woodland Terrace in Hernando, FL. Carl was born on May 15, 1921 in Jonesborough, TN to the late Leonard and Katie Hamby. Mr. Hamby moved to Homosassa FL. in 2006 from Bloomingdale, New Jersey. Mr. Hamby retired from the printing and bindery industry. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WW II. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dallas Green, Ada Barlow and Rosie Deloach. Two half sisters, Mae Stanton and Nillie McQueen. Survivors include: his daughter, Shirley Vereschagin of Homosassa, FL.; one son, Carl E. Hamby of Piscataway, NJ; four grandchildren, Alex Vereschagin of Homosassa, FL, Eugene Vereschagin of Hewitt, NJ, Leah Vereschagin of Salt Lake City, UT and Leonard Hamby of Maryland. A graveside funeral service for Carl Hamby will be conducted at 10 AM Monday, August 7, 2006 in the Oakhill Cemetery in Johnson City. The procession will form at Morris-Baker at 9:30 AM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker Sunday from 4 to 6 PM and other times at the home a niece, Martha Carr, 108 Forest Lane, Jonesborough.
