Carrie L. Elrod, 85, 1403 Knox Street, Johnson City died Thursday, December 15, 2005 in the Center on Aging and Health in Erwin. Mrs. Elrod was a native of Spruce Pine, NC and had lived in Johnson City most of her life. She was a daughter of the late James and Alice Honeycutt Peterson. Mrs. Elrod was a homemaker and was a member of the Roan Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Warren G. Elrod in 1966; a son ,Larry Paul Elrod; one grandson, Paul Elrod; four brothers, Roy, Phen ,Briscoe, and Carl Peterson; three sisters, Birdie Pate, Geneva Presnell and Evelyn Swanner. Survivors include: two sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne S. Elrod of Johnson City and Warren ' Butch' and Darlene Elrod of Bladensburg, MD; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith A. and Fred Eades of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Raymond Peterson of Unicoi, TN and Park Peterson of Tipton Hill, NC; two sisters, Eula Laws of Burnsville, NC and Pansy Hagie of Kingsport, TN; eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Carrie L. Elrod will be conducted at 8 P.M. Saturday, December 17 , 2005 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Gene Cornett will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:45 PM Sunday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday in the South Chapel
