Catherine Moody

Catherine Adams Moody, 76, of #3 Machamer Court, Johnson City, died June 6, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was retired Registered Nurse and had served in the U.S. Air Force (Captain) from 1958 until 1969. She was a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Frank and Kathleen Dumphy Adams. Mrs. Moody was a member of the St. Mary?s Catholic Church, the CCW Rosary (formerly the Alter Rosary Society), the Council of Catholic Women, past member of the Board, American Legion Post #0024, Johnson City, member of St. Mary?s Parish Council for 2 terms (3 year terms). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Moody in 1983 and a brother, Joseph Adams. Survivors include: a daughter, Katie Moody of Knoxville; a sister, Frances Adams of New Jersey and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation is planned for Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the St. Mary?s Catholic Church from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. when a mass will be held. A graveside service is planned for 10 AM Friday, June 9, 2006 in the Mt. Home National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the Vision of Tomorrow, St. Mary?s Building Fund, 2211 E. Lakeview Dr., Johnson City, TN 37601.
