Reverend Cecil Foster Haines, 95, 922 East Mountain View Road, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in Jacksonville, FL. Reverend Haines was a native of Johnson City and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late William G. and Mary Alice Walker Haines and was also preceded in death by a son, Cecil Haines Jr. Reverend Haines was the founding pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church and continued to be a member until his death. Reverend Haines is survived by his wife, Lottie May Pierce Haines; a son, Bill Haines, Jacksonville, FL; three daughters, Helen Etter and Martha Stine, both of Johnson City, and Shirley Williams, Gray. Fourteen grandchildren also survive. A funeral service for Reverend Haines will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Faith Tabernacle Church. Reverend Harold Jones and Reverend Howard Shaver will officiate. Sister Holifield and Brother Harry Cox will provide music. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Danny Williams, David Williams, Greg Haines, Richard Haines, Mike Etter, Mark Etter, Matthew Etter, Edward Stine and Bob Haines. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, June 3, 2005 at the funeral home.
