Claude W. Osborne

Mr. Claude W. Osborne, age 79, of Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Osborne was a native of Washington County, Virginia who had lived most of his life in Jonesborough. He was the son of the late George W. and Clemietine Casey Osborne. In addition to his parents; one brother and sister-in-law, Arthur Franklin and Virginia Osborne; two brothers-in-law, Claude Williamson and W.A. Lyons also preceded him in death. Mr. Osborne was a U.S. Army Veteran. He loved his farm and raising cattle. Survivors include three sisters; Clara M. Hamm and her husband Rev. James Hamm, Betty Williamson and Frances Lyons; several nieces and nephews. The graveside committal service for Mr. Claude W. Osborne will be conducted at 1:45 PM Monday, October 28, 2013 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Chaplain Kevin Holmes will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The Boone Dam Post # 4933 and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military honors. Family and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 1:15 PM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
