Clercie Kate Wood

Cercie Kate Wood, 81, of Johnson City died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Four Oaks Health Care and Nursing Home. She was a native of Bridgeport, Alabama, daughter of the late Adolphis and Birtha May Norman Witt. Cercie was a retired employee of Gordon?s Furniture Company. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, a brother, George Witt and three sisters, Betty Witt, Bonita Roberts and Louise Widener preceded her in death. Survivors include; her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Shelia Wood; a granddaughter, Wendy Childers; a great grandson, Ezekiel Childers; a niece, Sheila Yaffe; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, 2:00 pm, September 29, 2018 at the mausoleum chapel at Washington County Memory Gardens, under the direction of Pastor Scott Woodby. Entombment is to follow.
