Connie Matthews, Jr.

Connie Matthews, Jr., 74, of Johnson City, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the V.A. Medical Center at Mountain Home. He was a native of Hamblen County, TN. Mr. Matthews was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Mohawk, TN. He was also a member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge #486 and a member of the Jericho Shrine Temple. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Survivors include special friends, Claude and Cindy Robinson of Elizabethton and several cousins. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday from the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by V.F.W. Post #3382 of Kingsport. Rev. Sammy Stockman will officiate.
