Daisy Lane

Daisy Lane, 69, 2110 E. Myrtle Avenue, Johnson City died Sunday, April 10, 2005 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Lane was a native of Wythe County, VA and had lived in Johnson City since 1970. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Quesenberry Snavley. Mrs. Lane was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She is preceded in death by: two daughters, Patricia Lane and Anita Brewer; one son, Jackie Brewer; two granddaughters, Angela Vance and Tammy Osborne; four brothers and five sisters. Survivors include: her husband, Harry 'Buddy' Lane of the home; four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert ' Robbie' and Sherry Brewer of Limestone, Larry 'Eddie' and Carol Brewer of Chucky, James 'Buddy' Lane of Johnson City and David Lane of Nashville, TN; two daughters and son-in-law ,Sharon White of Jonesborough, Melinda and Leroy Vance of Limestone; a son-in-law, James 'Jimmy' Lane of Johnson City; two brothers, Robert Snavley of Max Meadows, VA and Alfred Snavley of Dublin, VA; one sister, Phyllis Cooper of Erwin; two special friends, Vorita Bowers and Betty Allen Tate. Sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren , several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Daisy Lane will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday, April 14, 2005 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Danny Tester will officiate. Music will be by Ashley and Josh Free, Duet and Aubry Gibson, Soloist. Interment will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be James 'Buddy' Lane, Mike Hampton, Terry Campbell, Mark Cable, Lawrence Saults, James Vance, Bill Bledsoe and Bobby Moody.The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday.
