Danny A. Day, 56, of Anderson, South Carolina went to Heaven to be with his Father and Mother on Monday ,February 16, 2009. Danny was a native of Johnson City and had lived in Anderson for twenty-three years. He was a son of the late Norvan C. Day, Sr. and Artie Mae McEylea Day. He was a former TV cable installer. Danny was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by an aunt, Mary D. Day. Survivors include: two daughters, Kim and husband Mark Miller of Jonesborough, Rayla and husband Dan Simmons of Anderson, SC; two sons, Tim Sharbor and wife Elaine, and Steven Sharbor, all of Exmore, VA; four brothers, Buddy and wife Linda Day of Telford, Smith and wife Jan Day of Erwin, Steve Day of Jonesborough, and Danny and wife Joyce Miller of Colorado; three sisters, Elizabeth McKee Bailey and husband Bob of Johnson City, Jeanette Day of Kingsport, and Lora Crowder and husband Ronnie of Jonesborough; five grandchildren, Cecilia Miller, Chevy Miller, Cody Simmons, Cole Simmons, and Noah Sharbor; several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Danny A. Day will be conducted at 8 PM Thursday, February 19, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Jeremy Dykes and Pastor William Taylor will officiate. The committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Friday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at Morris-Baker at 9:30 AM to go to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Bobby McKee, Mark McKee, Mike Day, Josh Rodefer, Jody Rodefer, David Day, Stevie Day, Jason Day, Josh Callahan, and Billy Cable. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 6 to 8 PM Thursday prior to the service.
