Darrell Sproles

Darrell Franklin Sproles, 46, 135 Pansy Street, died Friday, August 12, 2005 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mr. Sproles was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was a US Army Ranger veteran. Mr. Sproles was a former employee of Alemite. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Blevins, grandmother, Ruby Blevins and one brother, Benny Sproles. Mr. Sproles was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Libby Lowe Sproles; two daughters, Melody McKeehan and her husband, David, Johnson City, Britney Sproles, Johnson City; one grandson, Dylan McKeehan; one sister, Sharon Johnson, Jonesborough and one brother, Richard Sproles, Ohio. A military graveside service for Mr. Sproles will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Lowe, Ronnie Saults, Tommy Hill, Arthur Lowe, Jim Lowe and Roby Lee Lowe. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
