David Lynn Barnes

David Lynn Barnes, 76, of Elizabethton, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late Dana Lee and Stella Mae Hughes Barnes. David was retired contractor and had served in the U. S. Air Force. He loved to follow NASCAR. He is survived by his wife, Ima Jean LeQueiu Barnes of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Debbie Barnes of Elizabethton, Dana Chris Barnes of the home; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael Dean and Barbara Barnes of Johnson City; a grandson, Michael Lynn Barnes of Elizabethton; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Gerrell LeQuieu of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted in the Mt. Home National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:30 am under the direction of the American Legion Chaplain and military honors accorded by the Kingsport American Legion. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home to leave in procession by 11:00 am.
