Mrs. Delcie R. Renfro of Erwin, went home to be with her heavenly father, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Renfro was the daughter of the late Murry and Ethel Ellison Reed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Trula Moody. She was a native of Greene County and attended McDonald High School for eleven years before moving to Washington County. She graduated from Boones Creek High School. In 1982 she moved to Erwin. Mrs. Renfro was a homemaker and a member of Fishery Community Church. Her presence, prayers, and Christian service will be greatly missed. Our loss is Heavens gain to God be the glory great things He hath done. The family wishes to thank all of the staff & associates of Wellington Assisted Living Center for making Delcies final years so special. In addition, the family appreciates the staff, nurses, & doctors of Johnson City Medical Center, who gave the family the extra attention and care during her final days. Survivors include her loving husband of twenty-seven years, J. C. Renfro and his three children, Calvin, Bryan, and Angie; one daughter, LaDonna Dobson and her husband Rick of Charlotte, North Carolina; one sister, Christine R. Peters and her husband Bob of Mount Carmel; one brother, Ruble Reed and his wife Jean of Church Hill; and one niece, Becky Reed. The funeral service for Mrs. Delcie R. Renfro will be conducted at 7 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Evangelist Charles 'Toonie'? Cash and Rev. Roger Boyer will officiate. A private graveside committal service will be conducted on Thursday in the Tri- Cities Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Ray Jr. Moody, Harvey Moody, Spencer Moody, Jerry Moody and brothers-in-law, Ray Moody, Sr. and Bob Peters. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
