II Timothy 4:7, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Delores Ann (White) Smith, 71, of Limestone, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County and a daughter of the late Walter and Hester Mitchell White. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Walt, and Jimmy White and one brother in law Opie Cunningham. Mrs. Smith was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Johnson City but attended King Springs Baptist Church. She retired from East Tennessee State University. Survivors include; her husband, Leonard Smith; two daughters, Linda Black and her husband Jeff of Johnson City and Brenda Lamons and her fiancée Johnny Turner; one son, Terry Smith and his wife, Nazera of Limestone, nine grandchildren, Amanda and her husband Nathan, Bryan and his wife Sandy, Adam, Kenneth, Matthew, Josh, Cody, Caleb and Megan (Rosebud); one great grandchild, Katlin; three sisters, Barbara Harkleroad of Kingsport, Carolyn Cunningham of Jonesborough and Sharon Shipley of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 pm Tuesday from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Jerry Cornett will officiate. Burial services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday at the Washington County Memory Gardens. A procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 11:30 am Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Nathan Chandler, Adam Black, Kenneth Lamons, Matthew Lamons, Gary Mitchell and Warren Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Black, Dr. Randy Hoover and the Nurses and Staff of the 3rd, 6th and 7th floors of the Johnson City Medical Center. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday. Online condolences may be sent to the family via www.morrisbaker.com.
