Denny Ray Huddleston

October 10, 1944 — March 15, 2007

Denny Ray Huddleston, 62, 2213 Forest Acres Drive, Johnson City, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Huddleston was a native of Pond Gap, West Virginia who had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was the son of the late Archie David Huddleston and Pearl Hudnall Huddleston. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Carroll. Mr. Huddleston was in the Printing Industry. He was a medic serving with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Survivors include: his wife, Janet Huddleston, of the home: one daughter, Teresa Duffy and her husband Gerry, of Jonesborough; two sons, Warren Huddleston and his wife Carolyn, of Johnson City and Matthew Huddleston, of Cleveland, Ohio; three sisters, Mary Olson, of South Dakota, Beverly Huddleston and Barbara Huddleston both of Charleston, West Virginia; three brothers, Cletus Huddleston, of Pond Gap, West Virginia, Gary Huddleston, of Chesapeake ,West Virginia and Vernon Huddleston, of Huntington ,West Virginia; four grandchildren, Sean Duffy, Shannon Duffy, Haley Huddleston and Nathan Huddleston. The funeral service for Denny Ray Huddleston will be conducted at 1 PM Sunday, March 18, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Dr. Ed Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Post # 3382 and the Tennessee National Guard of Kingsport. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 6 to 8 PM Saturday. In leiu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington ,D.C. 20013
