Dimple Tomlinson Moody

February 9, 1925 — December 18, 2012

Dimple Tomlinson Moody, 87, of Johnson City passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 after a brief illness. She was a native of Hampton, TN and a daughter of the late Benjamin Grover Tester and Bessie Odom Tester. Mrs. Moody was also preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Tomlinson and her second husband, Stewart Moody; three brothers, Benjamin Tester, Oliver Tester and Marvin Tester; three sisters,Viola Tester, Addie Duncan and Alma Clark. Mrs. Moody had worked for the Carter County School System and was a member of the Elizabethton Church of Christ. Survivors include; three daughters, Jennifer Turbyfield and her husband Bill, Susan Ellis and her husband George and Cheryl Pitts and her husband Mike all of Johnson City; nine Grandchildren, Wayne Turbyfield and his wife Sarah of Johnson City, Stephen Turbyfield and his wife Angie of Chuckey, Kristy Campbell and her husband Tim of Tampa, FL, Lori Walker and her husband Bart of Gray, Keith Ellis and his wife Leslie of Jonesborough, Roby Ellis and his wife Jaina, Leslie Pope and her husband Jathan, Jacob Pitts and Katie Pitts all of Johnson City; fifteen Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2:45 pm in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Minister Roby Ellis will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected by the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:30 pm on Friday. A procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 2:30 on Friday.
