Doris George-White, age 81, of Telford, Tennessee, died Thursday, June, 3rd at Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County, Tennessee and had lived in this area all of her life, the daughter of the late Zuie Mitchell George and Harvey William George. She was a 1948 graduate of Science Hill High School. She retired from Johnson City Medical Center in 1994. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Mason George and a step-grandson, Anthony 'Baf'? Parlier. She is survived by three children, Judy White and her husband Marvin '?Muff'? Parlier of Elizabethton, Mark William White and his wife Ingrid of Milligan College, Kathryn White Probst and her husband David of Telford; three grandchildren, Jesse Probst, David Alex Probst and Jennifer Parlier/Morales and her husband Edwardo; a sister, Betty Jean Starnes of Kingsport; a sister-in-law, Katie Brookshear of Jonesborough; a special friend, Lou Miller of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Suite 102, Johnson City, TN 376901. Memorial services for Mrs. White will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel with Rev. Edward Davis officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow at Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery, 170 Herman Circle, Afton, TN 37616. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:00am Monday.
