Doris Hurley Duncan

Mrs. Doris Hurley Duncan, age 82, of Johnson City, passed away, Friday, January 13, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Duncan was a native of Cocke County, TN who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Zackariah Hurley and Gertrude Fowler Hurley. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Victor R. Duncan. Mrs. Duncan was the co-owner of Duncan Gas Services. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Survivors include: one son, Ross Duncan and his wife Katherine; two daughters, Dawn Duncan and Diann Duncan; three brothers, Bud Hurley, Zack Hurley and Gary Hurley; three grandchildren, Alexa Duncan, Gracie Duncan and Trinny Duncan. The funeral service for Mrs. Doris H. Duncan will be conducted at 8 PM Monday, January 16, 2012 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Bishop Z. Cannon will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at a later date in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday prior to the service.
